I have had every experience you've mentioned here hahahaha. fourteen weeks into pregnancy #3 and i'm starting to go with cassie--just dresses and sweatpants for me, please
I've worn the same two low-fuss / stretchy / comfy dresses most days the past few months this pregnancy...... I put on workout shorts and a tank today to do some exercises in.
The middle child looks at me confused "don't you need your dress, mom??" "I decided to wear this today instead." *unconvinced stare* lollll
Three months postpartum and I still only fit in three pairs of my pants and boy do I struggle with skirts unless they fit a million aesthetical criteria. I'm too picky, sure, but I want to feel like myself. Man this hit home x)
A fellow Mom at Mom’s group who I have since befriended said to me, “you always look so nice! I’m still in my maternity jeans” and I was like “oh, because I wear skirts all the time? That’s because I’m afraid to put on jeans” 😂 it’s not even about how I look, although that can be tough too as you said. It’s also about how uncomfortable jeans can be and how they might feel okay when you put them on and then pinch later!
I enjoyed reading this so much. I was going to send you a text but opted to be a normal person and leave a comment. Chris has literally worn the same wardrobe since we started dating (more or less) and can't understand why I'm always shopping. "Pre-pregnancy, first pregnancy, first postpartum, in-between, second pregnancy and second postpartum." TRUER WORDS HAVE NEVER BEEN SPOKEN. Love you, love your words. Thanks for the mid-Tuesday chuckle and relatable content.
No truer words have ever been spoken. A close second is trying to find maternity jeans. I have given up. We have two modes - cute dresses that make my bump look like a pretty flower and leggings with oversized shirts that make me look like I just really overindulged during the holidays. There is no casual cute in between.

The parachute wide legs are my nemesis!!! I do not look cute!!!
Does anyone? I'm unconvinced that they can be pulled off even by models.

Yeah, I didn't try jeans on til two months postpartum... even that felt like a mistake!
